On intitial reading it is indeed bracing—certainly he views things in worst-case-scenario vision—but I found that refreshing when compared to the rose colored/green shoot presentation everywhere else. But as I read further, and re-read those two posts again, I began to see the similarity and how it all ties back to his book.

To Kunstler, anyway.

So, no, he's not an oracle, but I enjoy the style, and there's enough substance there that I still think it's worth reading. And I still believe he nails a few points that others are not yet willing to talk about.Mr Furioushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03781439243585972721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7313509.post-48568546353356700412009-05-23T05:48:45.985-05:002009-05-23T05:48:45.985-05:00The problem with Kunstler is that he uses whatever...The problem with Kunstler is that he uses whatever the current crisis is (in this case banking) to restate the same thesis he's been regurgitating for years. I used to find it bracing; now I find it old.Toasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03418826323088878609noreply@blogger.com
