Boston Massacre 2: Electric Boogaloo

I am going to have to spit some serious venom on the Sox/Yanks series, but since these bastards made me stay up 'til 1:30 to lose, it will have to wait until tomorrow... It's like Donald Rumsfeld was managing the team tonite.

Grrrrrr.

I feel for ya...I do. I think Beantown has been so spoiled by the success of the Pats, the relative success (playoffs) of the Celts, and of course, your 2004 title....you Boston fans cannot accept a team that misses on occasion.

After watching Beckett throw more balls around than Ron Jeremy a few nites ago, it's clear the Yanks are beatin' ya by their patience at the plate. Last nite was a microcasm of the Yanks season--just wait around long enough, and good things start to happen.

That....and the rest of the team cannot just expect Big Papi to bail them out every game....

I can accept a team that misses on occasion, but I cannot accept a team that charges the highest prices in baseball, claims to be competing, but makes NO deals at the deadline to improve the team, and enters a five-game series with the Yankees with the season in the balance and has NO left-handed pitching in the bullpen! None! Against the leftiest team there is!

The front office has dropped the ball this season, and I don't blame Francona for much, but he made absolutely the most boneheaded managerial decision I can recall in my lifetime on Sunday night.

Thank God I didn't waste my afternoon watching them fall short on Monday...

Uh...welcome to the life of a Cubs fan...except you'll need to remove the "on occasion" part and substitute in "every year"....

The Cubs make plenty of deadline deals. Just this year they gave away Greg Maddux! Again!
