Statistics Don't Lie

Guess where I'm going this morning... and, guess what I did last night?

Haha. I've been flossing every day for several years now. A dental hygienist pointed out several studies a while back that showed a correlation between gum health and (absence of) heart disease, so after decades of resistance I was like, fuck it, I'm in.

I'm just a notorious procrastinator. Not to mention lazy. The good news is I got an A+ from the doc today, and haven't had any tooth problems in years.

Like you said, it's the gums and underlying bone I need to be worried about over the teeth anyway.

Once again, I'm resolving to do better, we'll see if it happens.

I would like to see a study of the number of people who floss daily. My dentist acts as if I am the only person who doesn't.

I am betting it is less than 1% of the population.

I used to be a flossing nazi. Now I floss when I remember. Also, if I chewed tobacco I floss because I have convinced myself that using floss to flick the tobacco bits out from between my teeth will prevent me from getting mouth cancer.

Why don't I just stop dipping??

Yeah... that's not going to happen.
