Back in the Saddle

Sorry for the unannounced departure...I was out of town and had so many loose ends to tie up before I left, I neglected to mention I'd be gone from blogging...

Not that anyone missed me.

Anyway, my unscientific survey based entirely on yard signs indicates an absolute thumping of Hillary Clinton by Barack Obama in North Carolina. Western North Carolina. As in Asheville and surrounding towns. Which is to say, these results in no way reflect the potential statewide outcome, yet this analysis is every bit as valuable as the bullshit I saw on Sunday morning.

I made the same assessment this weekend in Minneapolis.

That's long been the case here in Ann Arbor, but I wasn't sure what to expect in N.C., and it IS the waning days before the primary there ...hopefully a good omen.

The news coverage there seemed to favor Obama as well, and I read one endorsement.

I did see Hillary's putrid gas tax pander ad on tv.

Interesting. Asheville's kind of a hippie enclave in NC, so I'm not surprised Obama did well there. Did you get out into the surrounding towns?

Whoa! Am I believing my eyes? I think I better sit down!

Otto Man, is that you?

Yeah, Asheville definitely seems to be the hippie/liberal Green Zone. I had actually started this trip in Greenville, SC (home of Bob Jones U and true buckle of the Bible Belt) so the free and easy Obama love was particularly refreshing.

The Family Furious are in a potential relocation scenario, and I did a thorough exploration of the City of Asheville, but didn't have time to explore the perimeter much. If I get the job, we'll be doing that.

Is orf in Asheville? I know she moved back down to NC...I'll have to check on that.

Alas, ORF is in Durham

If we're going by signs, then Romney is still going to win here in NE Florida.

LOL!

Based on signs, Ron Paul is kicking serious ass here in MI and down in NC.
