"Free Paris!" Oh, They Already Did?

You know, after Sarah Silverman's viscious beatdown the other day, I actually felt bad for Paris. She was forced to endure a level of public humiliation that was downright cruel, unwarranted, and in my opinion, cowardly of Silverman.

Now it seems that will be her only punishment (besides house arrest in a mansion, I mean)...

What's the given reason for letting her go?

They didn't want her infecting the jail population with genital warts?

I love how Cole over at Balloon Juice starts it off by saying "Sadly, the voice of reason here is Al Sharpton." Funny in and of itself.

But Sharpton's point is this case is very well taken. Hilton was jailed in a special section of the jail reserved for the beautiful people. And she was let go because she was uncomfortable.
