I'm Back

As if anybody noticed I was gone...

The Family Furious just returned from a week at Disney World, and blogging will resume as soon as I am able. Like, when I get to work tomorrow! LOL!

Seriously? Any time I go away, the freelance work piles up, so I hope to get back in the swing as soon as I can. Lots of stuff to comment on, rail on, recommend, etc...

It seems to me that Disney alone is enough to rant about.

Nah. It might seem contrary to my cynical, sarcastic, bitchy personality, but Disney's great for what it is—a place to take the kids.

Seriously. As I look at the pics and review things in my mind, they have such a great time that anything Mr Furious might be annoyed by is easily overshadowed by big smiles and wonder-filled eyes.

Of course I might feel similarly after a week away in other places as well, but there are just no worries when you're there (and Mrs F handles details ahead of time)...you just take a bus wherever you're going and have fun. You never have to feel like your kids don't belong in he resarant or whatever, and there is something amazing to them around every corner.

Now there are plenty of freaks running around and evidence of a shallow gene pools and just general idiocy—but when in vacation mode, Mr Furious can let a lot slide by.

Are you a Disney hater? :) There are many problems with Disney, but I love going to the parks and staying in the hotels. I think Mr F feels much the same, at least he seemed to be enjoying himself this weekend.

That's certainly true, but c'mon, you were having some fun with or without them, weren't you?

No doubt. I have a blast there, but my enjoyment is really feeding off the kids.

Disney's great, but it wouldn't be my first choice sans kids.

Love the buffets, I think the hotels are nice, especially Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the service is really good, but I never really understood the appeal for the couples and newlyweds that are there...

If Mrs F and I were to travel alone, we'd go to actual Europe or a different tropical destination, and I don't normally need more than a long day at an amusement park—and it would be more thrilling coaster-style park than WDW.

All of that said, we had a great time overall, and reallly enjoyed hanging out with you guys. We'd love to do it again soon, either at WDW or elsewhere.

WDW is certainly an ideal place for a large group or multiple families to vacation together. Meeting up with locals like the Howards, or flying down with Mrs F's brother and his family, etc... There's something to appeal to just about everyone, it's easy to accomadate a big group and/or room to spread out as necessary.

Yeah, and for you guys, the financial hit would be similar. We're also influenced by the fact that Disney is a relatively cheap vacation for us, if we want it to be, and quick as it's only 2 hours away.

while you were gone, did you notice "Your guy" AKA Dodd, went on the new Imus show and begged for that asshole's endorsement? What's that about.

Oh, and welcome back. We highly recommend trips to "actual europe".

We're back on Sunday.

Welcome back from the Tragic Kingdom. Rickey missed you.

Dodd kissing Imus' ring, pretty much leads straight to him kissing my ass.

The Imus Show has long been a common place for Northeastern politicos to shoot the shit, but I suspected they'd steer clear after what happened.

Dodd's not a factor at this point anyway, but that was disappointing.

I'm not even straight on what the hell is happening with the Michigan primary and who is on the ballot anymore. Earlier I thought it was Hillary, Dodd, Gravel and that's it. Everyone else followed PArty orders and pulled out. If that's true, I'll vote for Dodd. If everyone's on, I'm voting for Obama.
