Links: Katrina coverage

Watch this. I won't ever ask you to watch FOX again. Promise.

Mark Kleiman is one-stop shopping for an account of the clusterfuck managment of this disaster coupled with some good commentary and questions.

Horse's Ass has plenty of good stuff. Especially on FEMA Director Brown.

Ezra points out the "small" Bush. And, guest-poster Neil has more on FEMA and Brownie. [Slightly off-topic: Ezra thinks Bush would be smart to nominate Edith Clement to succeed Rehnquist. I think he's right. A female justice from New Orleans. I wouldn't put it past him...]

Steve G. is livid.

Communication breakdown

I think it's a quick way of finding out what conservative-leaning middle- and upper-class white people think without having to talk to one. I don't know if those in my acquaintance are a good sample, but most of them think that NO's stranded could've and should've gotten out before the storm.

This past weekend, Neil Cavuto went straight from a shocking "hell on earth" segment to a debate on whether it's time to drill in ANWR. And, one of their dumb blondes said that the NO gov't shouldn't be given money directly because "the level of corruption would be unprecedented!"

So, much was learned without any face-time. Whew!

Yup. It's a peek thru the fence at the other side. Same reason I torment myself with Rush or Hannity on the radio in the car on occasion. I want to know what crap they're being fed in the "exburbs."

Of course it usually ends up with me cursing my car radio or the TV, but that's alot better than what might happen if I tried to "talk" to one of the FOX-zombies.
