I read that Publius article too and thought it was well thought out.

It lends credence to a theory I have that Republicans are against a bailout because it will undermine the Reagan legacy. In fact, this will totally undermine the platform of lower taxes, less government, and less regulation that every Republican has run on for the last 28 years.

Democrats couldn’t beat the Reaganomics lie, but deregulation did.
