No Purchase Necessary (which is kind of the point)

If you ever spend any time at the site of my better half, then you know all about Mrs F's new holiday strategy—Christmas Compacting. She has graciously offered to extend her "Gift Box Giveaway" and will create one package of Furious Holiday Cheer (Holiday Fury?) that I can give away to MY readers.

Leave a comment to put your name in the hat.

All regular readers are eligible, even crossover readers who already entered (and didn't win) Mrs. F's drawing. Odds of winning here are one in a much smaller number. UPDATE: Mrs F sent out the packages for her winners today. She'll do the next round this weekend, so this is open 'til Friday.

Hmm. here's a comment. But I feel that I should share something with you... thanks for introducing me to Shakesvulle. I have really been njoying reading it. Some of their views skew my way and some don't, but they are always intriguing. I'm glad to see that you like Sweet Juniper.

Count me in, Mr F.

And on an entirely different note, check out this youtube. Tully sent it to me, my only question is "Where is Coolie C?!?"

I will beg again. BTW, loved your post about the big three. I am terrified by the thought of what will happen if they go under.

I discussed it with Mrs. Smitty. While it is clear we need no more Holiday Cheer," we will throw our hat in the ring anyway.

Consider us "in."

Surly Rob said...

Wow Furious,
It sure was nice of Mrs F to throw a little of her internet traffic your way. (She must have taken pitty on you)

I just jumped over to her site and let me just say...

She kicks your ass at blogging!

Seriously, why do i bother coming here for weekly updates? The Mrs is where it's at!

First Ms Pacman kicks Pacman's butt (She is a far superior game) and now this.

Maybe you should shut this down and Mrs F can give you a guest column?

;)

Not to worry, Smitty. The whole point is gifting on the cheap, and it's pretty much all consumable—so, no extra crap you don't know what to do with!

G,

Sweet Juniper is great. love the photography, the old books, and I just enjoy the "raising kids in detroit" angle.

Shakesville is feast or famine for me. They can be really engaging over there or completely offputting if you don't toe the line.

I've had some confrontations over there, but I like to think everyone's the wiser when it's over. And someties that's more exciting than an echo chamber where everyone agrees.

I am in.

You licensed for this sweepstakes?

28!!! holy shit!! The odds are starting to look pretty bad with only one box going out!

Argh... the guilt is killing me already....

Mr Furious said...

I am thinking of evening the odds a bit by putting in TWO slips of paper for the new entries—doubling their odds—since the Mrs F Crowd is getting their second shot.

The Other Susan said...

My name is in--I don't think I entered on Mrs F's site.....

Surly Rob said...

now don't go over thinking it, no need to "even it out".

As long as the winner of the first box doesn't enter, 1 entry per person should be fine.

Besides, without Mrs' F we wouldn't have a giveaway, so it's ok if her readers get 2 shots at it. ;)

(No, I did not enter Mrs. F's contest)

michelline said...

Hey! All you Mrs. F only readers go back over there. You're ruining my chances. :)

outside 'z' box said...

Just for the record I didn't mean for my name to be put in the box give away thing. I was just stopping in to say hi.

sorry for any confusion.

Surly Rob said...

too bad chelle, rules are rules.

You comment, you are eligible.

(and if you win, i want some)

;)

outside 'z' box said...

Matt never follwed the rules back in the day so surely he can break them for old times sake. If not and I win the thing does that mean you will come see me to get some of what's in it?

Mr Furious said...

Alright, no sweepstakes on a curve. Straight up drawing to occur at midnight (25 minutes). Last call.

My god. The bailout is dead. The Republican party is morally bankrupt. Please, let us vote them all out of office as soon as possible. I just wish I could remove their pensions as well.
