To the dog without whom I would never have met my wife,
that my children have never known their lives without.
You stole food, you soiled countless carpets, you actually ate money...
You would bark unceasingly at any man who entered our home, but you were gentle, kind, stoic and patient with any child whoever laid a hand on you.
How many times I cursed you for being leash-potty-trained at 2:00 a.m. when I just wanted to go to bed...but the foot of the bed will never be the same again.
We love you and we will miss you terribly.

I just wrote a long note on Mrs. F's site. Just know how sorry I am. I hope he finds Kirby in heaven and they are having a jolly good time together ;-)
RIP Putty. My childhood dog meant a lot to me as well. My condolences to your family.
Damn,
that sucks.
Rest in Peace Putty, you were a good dog.
Thanks, guys.
Yeah, little things keep bringing it home...just a minute ago, I looked behind me before rolling back in my chair...
Total and complete shock—we had no time to prepare. He wasn't old (for a small dog) or particularly sick. Rachel just thought something wasn't right and had me bring him to the vet. We expected maybe kennel cough or something, but not this. He walked in perfectly normally and the next thing you know he's on the table without a heartbeat.
It's pretty devastating. I feel terrible for the kids, and for Rachel. He was her baby.
My condolences, Mr. & Mrs. F.
Sorry to hear this, Furious.
That sucks. Sorry for your loss.
Shit. That's terrible. I dread the day I lose my pooch. But, I know that at almost 8, she's probably more than halfway there for a big dog.
Sorry Mr. F and family.
Dogs are better than most people.
Sorry, Furiousi, for your loss. No other words.
I am so sorry Mr F!
We are thinking about your family!
The last time I was over Putty made me want a puppy here at our house.
Again, I am sorry for your loss.
So sorry to hear about Putty. Your eulogy made my heart so sad....
May you all be in a better place knowing that Putty didn't have to suffer. I know Putty knew how very LOVED he was!
Hugs to all the Furious family.

I couldn't imagine my life without my two puppies. I feel for you and your family. RIP.
My thoughts are with you guys...I'm sure all dogs go to Heaven. Believe it.
Sorry, Mr. F. Deepest condolences.
We had to put our dog to sleep this past June. I still find myself thinking I need to get home by a certain time to let him out or that I shouldn't set a plate of food by the floor or he will help himself.
It does get easier, though it takes some time.
I'm sorry, Furiouses. I'll miss looking for his tiny presence in photos on Mrs. F's blog. He was my own doggy version of "Where's Waldo".
He'll always be Canine to me.
Long live f-ing awesome dogs!!!
Oh, no! I am just reading this now. Haven't been on the blog in a while. God--so sorry for you guys. How did the girls handle it? Please send my condolences to Rachel as well.
