A Valid Question

Mark Kleiman does an excellent job on an important and valid, but uncomfortable, angle of the Elizabeth Edwards story.

First off. Welcome aboard. Hope you keep reading Fence Post. I read that re: the Edwards. It's such a tricky thing to have a public opinion about: the personal lives of those hit by cancer. But as I said in my blog, a lot has to do with how the Edwards continue to frame it. They chose to announce it at a press conference. Then they went on 60 Minutes. Commentators then cannot be blamed for interjecting their opinions into the debate. The Edwards made the rules and drew the lines. Others are just playing by them, and within them as I see it.
