Live from New York...

Just saw the Palin cameo on SNL...She didn't really do much but walk on set and let Amy Poehler take over, and she was pretty funny—her Palin-mocking rap took balls, and Palin showed she was a good sport for participating...but, as I said to Mrs F (ie: talking at the tv) when it was over, "Too bad I have to fucking hate you. You pathological liar and asshole."

I couldn't bring myself to watch her on SNL. I just get...well...furious.

I had actually forgotten all about it, and I don't normally watch SNL...

Mrs F mentioned it, we turned it on about midnight, and figured Palin's appearance probably occurred during the opening skit and was long gone...then she showed up during Weekend Update.

I was unimpressed. In both of her bits, she said nothing more than she's been saying for the past eight weeks. I think if she'd hosted or performed, I would have been more accepting of the idea that she's willing to laugh at herself. I really didn't see much evidence of it aside from showing up (which strikes me more as political ploy than willing self-deprecation).

Palin hung around the entire 90 min. She was on at the beginning, during wknd update, and at the close of the program. Seemed really sad that she doesn't have more to do with her time for me. Also sad: me for watching an entire episode of SNL; although I will miss Amy Poehler because after the baby, she won't be back.
