Stamped Steel Statement

Every once in a while I go online to the Michigan Secretary of State (DMV) site and check out personalized license plates. Thought of a good one today...and it's actually available.

If I were still driving the old Rolling Concretemobile of Democracy, this would be a no-brainer. But if stick this on the Volvo, am I just asking for a keyjob? I'm already betting that 26-percenters are too stupid to understand my bumper sticker...should I double-down?

UPDATE: Couldn't resist the Photoshop...

Gotta say, I think it looks pretty sweet.

You have vandalism coverage on your insurance?

I like it. Certainly shows more commitment than a bumper sticker. How long would you have it for? If it's 5 years, it may be a little dated before you replace it.

Really nice car there and a great thought, but I wouldn't risk it if I were you. There are other, less potentially costly, ways.

Plus, if you're state's like mine where you keep the same plates for eight years or so, putting update tabs on annually, you'll be running around urging "Impeach" when, (Lord, I hope and pray) we have a good Democrat in the White House, and more running Congress.

I wouldn't. But, damn that's a fine idea and a fine photoshop

I informed Mrs. F. about the poll, making clear that nothing's binding...she replied, "Well we all know who get the only vote that matters."

Here in Ann Arbor, I'd be a rock star with a plate like that, it's the rest of the state I'd be worried about.

What I should do i get it and eBay it off...Some guys just sold "business.com" for like $300 million.

That's a pretty sweet looking Volvo, by the way.

Therein lies the problem—I want to keep it that way. As I said, if I still drove my old NYC-beater Jetta, it'd be done deal.

God you are such a nerd! Who even admits to that, let alone does it!

Watch it! Or I'll order up an even worse plate for your car...
